FotoDocument’s new exhibition FotoDevelopment, featuring the work of Bangladeshi photographers Abir Abdullah and Khaled Hasan is now installed on the east wall of Brighton station. The photo essays have been kindly sponsored by E.ON.

“Boat Schools of Bangladesh” by Abir Abduallah focuses on floating schools, healthcare units and libraries serving the flood-prone low-lying waterside regions of Bangladesh which are cut off from vital services during the twice-yearly monsoons.

“Green Bricks of Bangladesh” by Khaled Hasan focuses on a new kind of imported brick kiln technology which is less resource intensive, less polluting and more productive and where the brickfield labourers have improved working conditions.
