Simon Bottrell is founder and creative director of 7creative, a ‘future positive’design communications consultancy supporting the growth of projects that have a positive social, environmental and economic impact. His passion lies in telling stories and building authentic reputations to help people share their big ideas and affect behaviour change – bringing creativity, viability and increased opportunity to projects. Simon is on the steering group of the Brighton and Hove 10:10 campaign.

Simon Roberts studied photojournalism at Sheffield College. His photographs have been published and exhibited widely, as well as being represented in major collections, including the Deutsche Borse Art Collection. Simon has received several accolades, including a grant from the John Kobal Foundation (2008) and a World Press Award (2010). He has published two monographs: ‘Motherland’ and ‘We English’ to critical acclaim.

Karoki Lewis studied photojournalism at the London College of Communications. He is an award winning travel and reportage photographer and his work is featured in a number of photographic books on India as well as in newspapers and magazines internationally. Since covering the Maha Kumbh Mela in India, Karoki has embarked upon a long-term project documenting the act of pilgrimage around the world using photography and audio.

Thurstan Crockett is Head of Sustainability & Environmental Policy at Brighton & Hove City Council, managing a Sustainability Team within the council’s central Policy Unit. He leads the city’s work on sustainable development, tackling climate change and reducing its ecological footprint, as support manager for the City Sustainability Partnership which he conceived. He won the national 2007 Global to Local Foundation Award for the local authority officer doing most to place climate change at the heart of a council’s culture, policies and practices. In 2009 he was judged by his peers to be the second most influential environmentalist in Sussex, behind Caroline Lucas MP.

Dr Dominic Kniveton is a geography Reader in the School of Global Studies at the University of Sussex. He has extensively researched a number of environmental projects, including multi-partner initiatives on the impact of development and climate change on water and ecosystem resources in southern Africa. More recently he has researched the impact of climate change on human migration in Africa and Asia.

Toby Buckle is a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer who provides coaching and training to a number of organisations including media companies, charities and social enterprises. With a degree in management science and many years experience of managing and coaching, Toby helps organisations focus on delivering projects with a sound commercial footing and sustainability.
